It takes a whole lot of stamina to take your book to the finish line. So, if you want to make sure your writings go the distance you want them to, be sure to follow the tips below.
Complete the first draft ASAP
No great book was crafted on one go. That is why should focus on completing the first draft as soon as possible instead of spending too much time on the revision. That can come later.
With the first dart, you will have a structure that you can work with. You can later polish the draft, add side trails, and other in-depth revisions to finalize your craft.
Set clear goals
As authors, we only have so much patience. For that reason, it is crucial to set a goal in order to take your book to the finish line. By achieving each small goal, you get a sense of joy that pushes you to work even harder.
Have a set goal of writing at least 500 words. If you are knocking that goal out of the park, then keep adjusting it.
Stick to a writing time
You can not summon your inner writer on demand whenever you want to. And that is why you should set a suitable writing time for yourself and make sure to stick to it no matter what. Regardless of how much you get done, make sure to show up on the task.
With time, this will become a habit, and provide you the momentum you needed to push your book to the finish line.
